This weekend saw a major accomplishment (follow link to the blog post with details): I got the twin-size TweetyGigs all finished, de-cat-haired and trimmed, backing pieced, and the whole shebang delivered to a long-arm quilter!
I also entered a block into Quiltstory's Block Party--an original block that I've named Leaded Glass:
I hope to make a tutorial for this one--and incorporate it as a substitution for the layer-cake quilt-along. This particular block is now destined for a mug rug--for ME! *g*
There has been absolutely no progress on the Sliced Coins--I'm falling behind!--or the layer-cake quilt, but I'm looking forward to getting back to those, especially now that the GIANT TweetyGigs is off the immediate task list. And my mother-in-law and I are planning a jelly-roll quilt-along of our own for March, so of COURSE I needed to get my hands on some Bliss before it's gone:
And I couldn't resist getting some fat quarters of Nicey Jane for a potential boy baby quilt:
I got both of these delicious fabric stacks from Swell Cloth on Etsy, and she was a joy to shop from (she's got 10% off bundles this week! I foresee another fat-quarter bundle for a girl baby quilt! Oh, how dangerous...).
This week's stats:
New projects: 1
Completed projects: 0
In progress: 6
I am drooling over the fabric, and any quilt set in white! And I like the block you designed for the block party, it caught my eye earlier this week.
ReplyDeleteI *have* some of that Daisy Jane fabric, and the colours are just gorgeous. Subtle without being wishy-washy. And that Bliss is fantastic - I have a real thing for fabrics with circles or spots on :) Lovely!
ReplyDeletesuch nice fabric...and I would love to see that tutorial too.....nice quilt top
